After settling down in 2010, we faced a new challenge: the well. The dowser came and found the right spot: four men kept digging for a whole week, which was really hard, but we found fresh water fifteen meters below the ground.
It is an open pit, with no cover yet (and must be kept clean, which is a bit tiring); and we also need a pump and solar panel to power it: this is a goal we want to achieve as soon as possible.
For us it is a fundamental resource: water, besides being a primary need, is a useful tool to barter (it is offered in exchange for garden products) which brings further welfare to the family. It also improves the hygienic conditions, as it helps cleaning the house, preparing and cooking food.
